Shades

Roller Shades

A versatile shade that is practical, functional, and durable while being sleek and stylish. Roller shades are installed at the top of a window with a tube that fabric rolls around as the shade moves up and down to cover the entire window. An added fascia, or headbox, completely encases the roll. This not only hides the roll from view but protects the fabric and shade operation mechanisms.  A multitude of fabric colors and textures, coupled with different design configurations, ensures that a combination can be found to fit your design specifications.

The fabrics come in varying degrees of “openness”; a percentage of light allowed to pass through. You can select one that will provide excellent light and glare control while providing an uninterrupted view of the exterior or one that lets light through but obscures the view and gives more privacy. A “blackout” option available to block light entirely.

Banded Shades

A combination roller shade and sheer, Banded shades transitions between open and closed, transparent and opaque, as they are moved up and down. This is accomplished using two layers of alternating, banded, fabrics that give this shade a unique striped pattern. A light-filtered view is provided through the soft sheer stripes while privacy and light blocking provided by the solid fabric, providing the ultimate control and variability. The result is a shade with the style of a roller shade and sheer but the functionality of a horizontal shade.

Honeycomb Shades

The cellular structure created by the pleated fabric of Honeycomb shades is where they get their name from and why the are also referred to as Cellular shades. These cells, or spaces, provide superior insulating capabilities, because trapped air is a great insulator, and result in lower heating and cooling costs. The energy efficiency impact can be increased by opting for a double cell design.

In addition, there are options for different size pleats, a wide array of attractive fabrics and patterns, levels of opacity ranging from sheer to blackout, and a top-down/bottom-up opening feature that can incorporate two different fabrics. This makes Honeycomb shades one of the most multifaceted window treatments on the market.

Woven Wood Shades

Turn your window into an artisanal woven tapestry, meticulously crafted with bamboos, woods, jutes, grasses, blended yarns, and other natural materials, by covering them with Woven Wood shades. They are perfect for adding a natural, organic, sophisticated feel to your space.

The standard configuration is horizontal, with the stack folding up neatly like a Roman shade as it is raised, but some fabrics can be made into vertical sliding panels. They can also be designed with a top-down/bottom-up configuration where the shade can be lowered from the top or raised from the bottom of the window, allowing you to stack it in any position.

Roman Shades

As the name implies, the Roman shade design has been around for millennia and their appeal is unwavering. This classic shade is constructed with a fabric that sits flat when down but folds up neatly when raised. Woven Woods are designed in this exact style and the two shades share the same benefits and features. A notable difference is that Roman shades have a greater number of choices when it comes to fabrics.

Sheer Shades

A roller shade and horizontal blind hybrid, Sheer shades are constructed using fabric vanes held together between two layers of sheer fabric. At the bottom of the shade’s operation, the vanes can be tilted open and closed. When they are tilted open, there is a soft light-filtering effect and a view of the outside. The vanes appear to float, suspended, in the air. As the shade is closed, the vanes come together and provide privacy and light blocking. The fabric chosen will determine the amount of light that comes through; from a gently diffused glow to blacked out. When the shade is fully open, they are neatly tucked away into a cassette valance that can, optionally, be fabric-wrapped.

Panel Track Shades

Panel Track shades are built with panels of a material that are hung, vertically, from tracks that they slide back and forth on. When closed, they stack neatly to one side and when open they sit side by side and cover the expanse of the track. They are a modern alternative to vertical blinds and are perfect for covering large sliding windows but can be used for any size window and even work as room dividers or closet doors. They can be made with attractive Roller shade fabric, earthly Woven Wood, insulating Cellular shade, or solar screen fabric. This enables having a cohesive look between horizontal and vertical styles of window treatments.
